Default 2013 Z06 Sales...anybody buying?

I was looking over the inventory at Kerbecks and noticed that they don't even stock the Z06. This being the largest Corvette dealership in the world, you would think they would have some. I know with the introduction of the ZR1 in '09 and the GS in '10 and now with the 427 Convertible the Z06 sales are mostly non existent. Has anyone here bought a '13 Z06?

I sure hope so, in a couple of years I want to buy someone's low mileage Z06, just like I bought someone's 09 low mileage Z06 last week for a lot less than what they paid for it.

No doubt...the GS gave the buyer what they wanted in a corvette..but not in a Z06.

I would like to upgrade my 2006 Z06 but I just love that particular car so much, I can't bring myself to do it. The upgrades with the Z07 package make it a much more capable car. I have test driven two of them with that package. Both felt a little soft compared to my old 2006 model. Less raw and more isolated.

After we know more about the C7 I may be in the market for one if the deal is good or wait on the second year C7? It will be an interesting few weeks as we see the future and the value of the past. I don't think they made many 2013 Zs. Night Race Blue with Red int ZO6 that would be my choice.

Like the Coupe and Convertible, their really hasn't been any significant improvements in the Z06 since 2009, the same year the ZR1 came out, the new Corvette top dog. In 2010 the G/S provided Z06 looks for those with less money and/or needing/wanting a torque converter automatic transmission. Finally, the 427 Convertible in 2012 arrived for the few who truly wanted near "Z06" performance in a Convertible. After eight years of production, everyone that wanted one, has already bought one, new or used, and outside of insignificant differences appearance wise, all C6 Corvettes look the same to the average person on the street. The Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CTS-V are the new GM "halo" cars, and the Corvette has been put out to pasture and left sucking hind tit.

Default A 427 Vert

I ordered a 427 in Cyber grey with red calipers. Interior will be black & red. Car will be built next week. I will take delivery near the end of the month after the C7 reveal. I went back and forth between the Z06 & the Vert. I have never had a convertible Corvette so I decided to try the 427 and see if it is a keeper. If not, I will sell it and get a third year C7 upgraded Coupe. I am buying the car through Mike Furman at Criswell in MD.
Cheers,
Fuze

Great color! I have a machine silver and if I bought a 13, it would be blade silver. Two of the best looking colors on the C6Z.

I thought about another Z06, but when I was looking NOBODY had one on the lot to even test drive. So I went with the 427 and never looked back. I never had a vert before, and I'm enjoying it so much that I don't miss the hard top one bit.

Not many Z's being built in '13. Especially with the 427 vert available now. I have tossed the idea around of upgrading to a ZR1 or a 427 vert from my 06 Z but I honestly love my Z too much to part with it. To trade for another Z - even a Z07 model - just doesn't make sense to me.

Our local dealer has six or seven Grand Sports, all with chrome wheels and automatic transmissions, none with the optional F55 Adjustible Magnetic Suspension or two-tone interior, and not one Coupe, Convertible, Z06 or 427 Convertible. When I drive in with my '09 MN6 F55 NPP CRM Coup, service advisor's and mechanics make remarks like "wow, you've got a manual transmission, how cool" and "what a great looking interior". But hey, this dealership sells what the masses want, as would I. Joe Six-pack and wife want something that looks sporty, and that's about it. Be glad you found a dealership that even had a 427 Convertible.

Last set of production numbers I saw, there were more ZR1s being built than Z06s, which is amazing.
