You mind if I ask why only 1 wheel was powder coated and 3 wheels were painted? Just dont understand why someone would paint expensive wheels like these, rather then powder coating the set.

because if you get curb rash on a powdercoated wheel, the whole entire wheel needs to be redone. If you get rash on a painted wheel, you can sand it down and just repaint damaged area or the lip instead of the whole wheel. I have had both... powdercoated and painted and they both have their pro's and con's. Insane deal! TTT

I got the tires mounted and I was unloading them from the Jeep, one wheel fell on its face and chipped the paint on the lip. I sent it off to get powder coated because I thought this would strengthen the paint. At the end of the day....powder coating still can chip. My thought process wasn't "reselling" the wheels at the time and like I said earlier in the post, when they are on the car it is literally impossible to tell which one it was....they still look perfect....I disclosed the "story" to be an honest sale

Here are current pics of the wheels as it sits outside my office. Please don't mind the break dust. The second pic looks like a chip in the lip but it's not (I just went back outside and rechecked, just dust)....they have no blemishes

What rubbing issues do you have - front or rear? Is your Vette stock height?

Oh and what about the computer, does it stay happy and not throw codes?

Thx!

No rubbing at all, the widths are perfect. I am slammed all the way on aftermarket bolts in front and rear on Z51 suspension. I never installed the TPMS so I lived with the tire code on the display (it's just a light)

Hey, I know your car, I believe. I've seen it at Cars and Coffee. I have a 2008 Z06, black. My only question is did you lower your car? I'm very interested. Robb

I'm local if you are in Irvine, by chance.
