Default My engine has arrived - RHS 450cid & AllPro Heads

Special thanks to Chad at Golen Racing Engines for all of your detail work and extra time spent on the dyno testing several cam grinds. Also want to thank Richard over at West Coast Cylinder Heads for taking the time to review the dyno numbers for each of the four cams tested. This really helped me in the final cam selection and I am pretty sure this cam choice will meet my needs - mainly shaking the fillings out of my teeth at idle.

Once engine is installed and tuned - Idle video will follow along with Chassis Dyno Results - goal is 600hp to the tire.

Very, very nice. Your car ought to really be a blast to drive once all those parts are installed.

Nice!

Who's offset differential mounts are you using? They look like OEM C6 pieces. Have they been modified to make the studs offset?

Great build. Richard is a great guy with some great products. He was involved in the multiple iterations of my build.

You should be over 600RW easily. My little 427 was at 656hp on the Superflo engine dyno and does 577RWHP with 530RWT. I run Richards Stage 3 L92/LS3 heads with a little 234-242 cam and it's so mild my wife could drive it.

Question for you...Does Richard like the CHE rockers with the .660 lift? I really need to get the YT's out of my car. I've already broken a few from two different sets.

Congrats again.

Adding the engine dyno graph.. You should be able to figure out pretty close to where your rear wheel numbers will end up.

Looks great! Did you consider higher compression and E85/E98? Just curious, not being critical.

My 440c.i. puts 540hp/520tq to the wheels on 11.7:1 and 91. I've been told it's a stingy dyno too, but that doesn't really matter much. I bought my car already built otherwise I would have gone 13.5:1 and E85 for that extra ~5% to the ground.

That looks great! My 427 is coming out in mid Jan and is being sent to Golen for a rebuild and some enhancements. I am glad to hear that you had a positive experience. Mine will be run in on their dyno before it is shipped back.

Thanks for the dyno graph that does give me a benchmark. Richard definitely likes the CHE rocker setup - one less thing to go wrong.

I would have loved to went to a 13:5CR, but unfortunately no E85 at the pump in Canada.
