Default My 99 FRC

Well I picked up a 99 FRC about 5-6 months ago and absolutely love the car. My previous car was an 08 350z and the vette is better in every single way. The FRC has 50k on it and is in great shape.
I bought it completely stock and now I have a Vararam and LG headers on the way. I recently picked up some C5Z wheels and now the car looks proper! I also have a set of TI mufflers waiting to be installed. Next to be purchased will be a LS6 intake and most likely a LS7 clutch kit.
Bone stock I ran the car (I did have the c5z wheels with street tires on the car) and it ran a 12.90@108 with a 1.9 sixty. The clutch held me back from running faster as it was slipping on the launch if I launched higher than 3000rpms. So for the spring a clutch will be needed it seems.

Here are a few pics of the FRC!

Default The 99 FRC . . . .

Is the true street machine. I just had my 2003 50th. Anniversary coupe out and it is everything I could want in a road car. 1. I sit in the car perfectly, (You can knock down 3-400 miles in a day and not be a bit tired when you stop for the night. Curvy roads or dodging potholes ? nothings better that the C5, (I have replaced my Goodyear's with the Michelin Pilot sports PS/2 ZP and it's like a totally different car. ( Best money I ever spent was for the Micheline's) I can now hear the radio, I don't use it much as I love listening to my LS1 pouring through the 'Corsa' cat-backs system.

I've own a lot of cars and muscle cars in my day, but nothing can compare with the responsiveness and sheer seat-of-the-pants feeling you get out of a C5 Corvette. I've owned mine for close to ten years now and it's still like the day I picked it up from the dealership.

I also have a twin to your car and I live just across the river from you in Cincy. Gotta love a FRC.

Default Why was the FRC not carried over into the C6?

Why was the FRC not carried over into the C6 line-up? I could be interested in the C6s if there was a FRC, but then I am biased owning a 99FRC. Not trying to start any wars just thinking the C6 is missing a cool looking car?

FRC was made from 1999 til 2000,, then they made it a Z06...(FRC = Pre-Z )
