No DA%# Excuses Fall Classic At MIR
ONLINE SIGN-UP IS NOW CLOSED
Robz and I will be hosting a rental at MIR on Friday, 11/16/12. (The rain date will be 11/30/12.) This may be your chance to run a PB at a great facility. Historically, weather is very good this time of year and the track prep is always outstanding. Rob and I will be available to assist anyone who would like some help. Details are to follow.
I spoke with Jason Miller last week. We need a solid commitment and to act quickly so we can get it lined up. Cost will be directly related to head count and we will need a deposit to secure these dates.

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION FIRST. PLEASE READ DAILY FOR UPDATES.
1) To elaborate on the above, the total cost will dependent upon the amount of people, the number of lanes and amount of track prep. We usually get one lane prepped for the full 1/4. The base price for the one lane is $800 minimum for up to 8 people.
Additional cars are $100/car.
Track prep is $0.50/LF beyond the first 60.
For example:
8 cars = 8 x $100 + (1,320-60) x $0.50 = $1,430 or $178.75/person.
12 cars =12 x $100 + (1,320-60) x $0.50 = $1,830 or $152.50/person.
15 cars =15 x $100 + (1,320-60) x $0.50 = $2,130 or $142.00/person.
20 cars =20 x $100 + (1,320-60) x $0.50 = $2,630 or $131.50/person.
40 cars =40 x $100 + (1,320-60) x $0.50 = $4,630 or $115.75/person.
If we get a large number of PREPAID participants, we may be able to request the entire track.
2. This is a DR or Slick Only event. NO EXCEPTIONS.
3. A $100 deposit per person is required in cash, check or PayPal. If there are associated charges with the PayPal transaction, these will be added to your total amount due. Deposits will be non-refundable unless both days are cancelled by MIR due to inclement weather. Let me know how you wish to pay and I'll forward you my info via PM.
4. Once 8 deposits are collected, I'll call Jason and place a deposit on the track to secure these days. Please remember that time is of the essence and Jason requested a deposit ASAP. It is possible to loose these days unless we act quickly.
5. If you cannot make the event, please find someone to take your place; however, they must abide by these rules. In addition, it is at the sole discretion of robz and myself who can attend this event as a driver, spectator or a person in any other capacity.
6. All balances are due no later than 11/7.
7. Please give some details of your cars. Robz would like to handicap each car so we can set some goals to strive for.
8. Registration cut-off will be dictated by logistics.
9. Jason confirmed that we are getting an exclusive rental with both lanes. The track is entirely ours on the 16th. We may have to share the track on our rain date (30th) if someone else rents it also. The pricing is as follows:
1-24 cars = $2,400 plus the prep outside of the first 60'. $100/car will be charged above the first 24 cars.
Right now we are at 22 participants. The cost would be $2,400 + 2{(1,320-60) x $0.50} = $3,660 or $166.36/person.

Love the event name, bummer about the date spread though. I can't commit to a two week separation like that and have that much time off work. In the event of rain on 11/16, it would be a waste of a trip/vacation time/$$ so I'll have to pass.
Good luck though! It should make for an awesome event and I can't wait to see how it goes down.

Justin, maybe you can commit to the first date and have a back up vacation planned in the event of rain(or snow) so you will still take your time off as scheduled.

Gary will have to settle with track first to find out. I think they pay extra to get the entire 1/4 sprayed so the fast boys don't get loose.

I plan to leave Wednesday (whichever week) and stay near Pit Man's house, and we will drive up together. He says it's one day from his house. He's 5 hours from me mas-o-menos. You should join us.
