First time Corvette owner
Howdy! I finally have a Vette of my very own! I traded into a 1985 with 250000k miles on that has been well maintained but still needs some love. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and I've already learned a lot! I took apart my throttle body and cleaned it yesterday after pulling my codes and some other basic stuff. Tomorrow I'm pulling the radiator shroud off to clean out the junk and I just ordered some new Bilsteins, FIC type III injectors and a fuel filter. I Plasticoated the stock wheels flat black and lowered the rear an inch and a half with a kit from Ecklers. The 4+3 was weird at first, but I rebuilt the reverse lock-out rod and put the short throw levers on it and I'm starting to really like it! The engine was rebuilt 55K ago and it runs nicely but the front Y pipes are starting to rust through so exhaust will probably be the next project as soon as I get the other parts installed. I've wanted a Corvette since the first time I ever remember seeing one back in the 70s so it feels like a long time coming. I look forwards to learning a lot here on this great forum!

Conrad's
I also purchased a 1985 in August
It's black with graphite interior, I'm the 3 rd owner and it's got 42,000 miles. It was babied it's entire life, always inside a garage
It's needs the power windows done, I plan on that over the winter
Again, good luck!

You sound like a "Do it yourselfer". You'll really enjoy making changes and making the car more fun to drive.
Welcome aboard and we're still waiting on those pics.
