Corvette Drag Cars
Not what they were built / intended for, but proof that they are so beautiful, they look cool in every kind of racing (OK - except NASCAR) The bottom three are from my old home track in Marion, SD.
From 1971
From 1970

Dang, all I see are little red 'x's! We just went to the Hot Rod Reunion at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield and there were more than a few Corvette drag cars there! Of course, the paint on all of them were stunning.

Sometimes, our server gets the paranoia thing going, not often though!
Oh well, I saw a whole day of drag racing at the Hot Rod Reunion and there was so many vintage Nitro cars there, it was unbelievable! All the greats were there, Don Prudhome, Tom McEwen, Roland Leong and many others. Already booked for March Meet! Gotta smell the Nitro!

I'm still waiting to see a C3 gasser. I just hope my head doesn't explode!
Keep the shiny side up!

Took me a while to find it, and it's not C3's but this is a great video of Corvette drag racing.
No Tears video
Used to follow C5 drag racing a lot when I had my C5. Here is a pic of my short career as a drag racer.
