Default What will Hennessey do the C7

If they can do this to a Cadillac, then I can only imagine... Did Corvette do enough homework to aerodynamics of the car to achieve 250+ mph? The new 2013 GT500 received quite a bit of changes to its aerodynamics to take it beyond 200 mph and looking at the C7 nose it appears to be the case here as well. Lastly, what will the LT4 do with Twin Turbos?

http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/...ntcmp=features

BTW, I am still not a fan of the new C7 renderings but power/speed usually can change my mind.

Hennessy will do the same as any other tuner will.

Start with bolt on mods. Intake, exhaust, tuning. +50rwhp
Then move onto a bolt on supercharger system and/or heads and camshaft, etc. +100-200rwhp
Then fully built motor/drivetrain with twin turbos 1000rwhp.

Again, it will be the same thing all the other Corvette shops will do and always have done. Hennessy is no different except usually worse real world results and much heavier price tag. Not to mention some shady business practices. But I don't know them personally so no attack on Hennessy, just I don't understand why Hennessy is brought up specifically.

PS: Back in 04 I had a Hennessey 98 GTS VENOM 1000R NA

Shady and heavy are very polite words to use. I wouldn't have been so gentle.

Mostly because of their success with Camaro

As a Camaro owner that keeps up with what KD ADM Performance and Lingenfelter are currently doing I don't seee how they are any more successful.

Hennessy usually gets a little crazier on the tunes earlier but I feel like he's the West Coast Customs of Tuner Shops. Great work lots of experience easy to find if you want to go upmarket but will appreciate your business less and focus more on building Steven Tyler a Venom GT instead of focusing on return business from customers spending 30k. Perhaps the arrogance that comes with the commercialization of their company has reflected in his treatment of less affluent vocal customers.

These horrid rumors don't start out of thin air I am curious of your experience with Hennessy Greg feel free to PM me I have spoke with them over the phone and the more I know about who I would be throwing 30+k potentially to void a warranty the better.

Hennessy in my opinion offers the largest variety of performance vehicle upgrades across a wide spectrum. The reliability they produce is impressive.

There is a plethora of tuners out there but none have achieved what they have with the TT Ford GT. If the same techniques were to be applied assuming the current rumor mill then what is to be expected for the C7?

I'm very glad you're smart enough to know that rumors originate from something solid. Most seem niave to that fact. Summarization, use a different tuner. Plenty available for the SS and your blood pressure and wallet will be grateful.

Take your SS to Katech, LPE or LG.

Katech would really be the only choice for me. No question about that.

I randomly walked in to the Katech tent at Carlisle with my 6 year old boy. A fellow walked up to me and listened to my silly C7 BS for 30 minutes . He explained the GM bankruptcy and how it affected Katech as a supplier of GM's race engines. Just a super respectful decent character.

When I got home I googled his name and he was the owner of Katech.

You forgot to mention, severely inflate it's cost, limit it's resale potential, make finding qualified service techs nearly impossible and send your insurance company into cancellation mode.

yeah the guys who built the motor in that TT ford gt that ran the mile haven't accomplished ****.

there are many, many other tuners who should be considered before Hennessy. Including leaving your car stock before taking it to him.
