WTT Rare Mercedes SL-500 for 1990 up C4 Convertible
Still Available!
Very Low Mileage 1997 Mercedes 40th. Anniversary SL 500 Convertible has always been a "Sunday Driver"
There is no official book value on this rare limited edition Mercedes
40th. Anniversary SL 500 Roadster
I have set the Trade value at $19,900
I want to trade my Outstanding $92k Mercedes Benz SL-500 for your 1990 up Corvette C4 Convertible, No project cars please.
I purchased this from the original owner, I am a private party and this car has NO problems.
1997 Mercedes Rare Limited Edition 40th Anniversary SL 500 Roadster with Hardtop and Soft-top.
Outstanding original condition, actual mileage is 38,100 miles, garaged since new.
Mercedes has used the "Anniversary" designation very sparingly over the years. For the SL Class there has been only this
40th Anniversary SL 500 Convertible with a worldwide total of 500 produced, 250 of the 500 were allocated for the U.S. market.
Mercedes AMG performance division has released two Anniversary Edition models based on the SL Class
a 2007 40th and a 2013 45th. Both cars are close to $300K and the total 2013 U.S. production has already been sold out.
The most notable special features of the 1997 Mercedes 40th Anniversary SL 500 are the special "019 Crimson Metallic" paint, a Gold metallic base paint
that simply glows in the sunlight. Mercedes best grade "Exquisite" leather interior in Parchment color
with custom Chestnut wood trim. 17" EVO II Six Spoke Alloy Wheels.
The combination of these features are found only on the 40th Anniversary SL 500
If interested, PM or eMail me: sanct2@gmail.com with what you have to trade or questions.

JMHO - but you are out of your mind wanting to trade this beautiful SL on a C4 Vert. Unless it is stolen, got a federal govt lein or was used in a drug-related felony that involved crossing into Mexico, there is no C4 anywhere worthy of this trade.
If there is I'd have to see the impeccable pics here to provde it.
All thing being equal, interested in a C3 Roadster as trade?

As you can see from the recent pictures this has a fantastic visual appeal, in fact the best color and interior combination of the entire R129 series body SL 500's (picture link in first post)
I purchased it from the original owner who babied from new and I have enjoyed having this special car for a time. I have one space in my garage for a hobby car and at my age time is running short for my bucket list of cars I would like to own so it is time to move on.
I have an recent AutoCheck report if anyone is seriously interested in the ownership history.
email the details on the C3 and I will be able to answer that question. I had two 1975 C3 roadsters back when they were new.

I guess you don't watch Barrett Jackson or any other auction houses.
I think their is a low mile 1995 ZR-1 close by here on the forum right now. Some of those 96 Grand Sports are holding their own to.

Does the sale of the SL also come with the power Lift for the hard top for the garage.
BTW best looking 97 SL500 Ive seen , How Ironic , I just looked at a 2012 SL63 AMG Black today, almost had to run to the nearest bathroom due to the tent pitched in my shorts if you know what I mean.
GLWS simply stunning

Hell, yes, you can have my '94 polo green convertible in good running and very decent cosmetic condition (95K miles, CA car) WITH FACTORY HARDTOP in trade. I'll even deliver it personally. But what's the catch?
C'mon...there HAS to be a catch.

Larry just must really value a C4 Vert, he must know what he likes and if an exceptional C4 Vert meets his approval, (like my mint '90 C4 vert, Polo Green Metallic, saddle sport seats w/ 24,800 2 owner mile) seems like a fair deal to me.
Any buyer with some smarts would use a car escrow service to conduct a sale anyway to avoid any possibility of a scam. It's simple really.

i'll tell ya, if i wasn't in the middle of trying to get moved to florida, that sl500 would be sitting in my garage. not saying i'd give up a corvette for one, but pretty sure it would be parked next to one...
speaking of escrow service, anybody use www.escrow.com ???
