Default Pictures from the 9th Annual Beach Bums Corvette Show, Long Beach Island, NJ

Great show....thanx Beach Bums for another outstanding day.

Not sure what the final count was, but it had to be over 150 cars, not including the club cars and other Corvettes not entered in the show.

Here are some of the C3's.

Sorry I missed it this year.

C'mon Steve brag a little and tell everyone the hardware you won.

Unfortunately, I had to work all weekend so I missed it too.

But I am curious too...what DID you win Steve?

Gordon, here is a little bragging - below is a picture of Steve's and my trophies. Steve's beautiful 74 took the stock/original class and my 68 took the modified class titles. Pretty good day for us rogue sharks. We missed you yesterday - then again, I thank you for not showing - otherwise I wouldn't have won

Here is a nice shot of our hardware:

Thanks for the photos Steve. Your stance when you take the pics is good too. It makes these cars look even more mean.

The yellow one looks alot like mine.

Thanks for posting up the pics. It was a great show and great weather (except for the brief shower right after they gave out the trophies).

This 68, that was there, has what I think is an interesting history.

It's a 68 327/350, 4 speed, that was bought new by the father of a friend of mine. It was a hardtop only car, so his father had the dealer order him a complete soft top, and install it on the car when it was new.

In 1972, his father "shaved" the emblems and added the L-88 hood, Ansen Sprint wheels, 70's style wheel opening flairs, chrome Hooker header sidepipes, and the custom paint. The paint on the car is the same paint that was applied 40 years ago, and everything else on the car is original to it (including the interior, engine and chrome).

His father passed away a couple years ago, and my friend inherited the car. I suspect that the car will remain in his family forever!

The car below is my buddy's other Corvette, a 65 with a blown, aluminum head 427 in it. He drove this car to the show, and his brother drove the 68.

As an FYI, Steve the owner of both cars, has a Corvette restoration business, here in NJ.

GBvette62 - those two cars were parked right across from Steve and I on the same isle. Very unique indeed. PM me the name of their business when you get a chance. Thanks!

Thanx for doing the bragging for me guys....and thanx to everyone here of CF for the High fives....its a nice feeling when they call your name and someone else thinks your car is as nice as the owner does. Its my first first place at this show. I have a third and a second from previous years. It means one of the following; the other cars that beat me in years past stayed home, I was the only car in that class or the Beach Bums felt sorry for me never winning my class.

Glenn...

I know the owner of those 2 Corvettes as well ...we talk every year at this show and he is a FANTASTIC person. I always go out of my way to find him and talk....this year was perfect, as he was parked right across from us.

The first two red C3s' gets my vote - outstanding convertibles. If I had to pick - that would be one hellva' hard choice. Well deserved trophies, guys. Pretty easy to see why you placed high in the group.

Here's a link to some more pictures from Sunday's Beach Bums show.

As a teaser, these cars should look familiar to Steve and Mike.
