Default LS2 C5 Oil Pan Questions

Ive got a ls2 installed with my ls6 top end and oil pan installed in my c5. Is there a specific need to put a ls2/3 pan on my c5 in place of my winged wonder. I pulled the dip stick freeze plug out of my ls2 block and currently have my ls6 dipstick and tube in it for now. What dipstick/tube should I be using? Thanks in advance!

The LS1/6 pan will work fine with the LS1/6 dipstick. Match the dipstick with the oil pan.

I've heard the LS2 pan is supposed to be better from this forum. I assumed they were talking about an LS2 corvette pan. I have a stroker LS2/402 so the windage tray needed spacers and because of that the oil pan had to be trimmed in a few places. I don't know if you have to do that with the LS2 pan.

Thanks for the great info. I have a 402 in mine as well and had to run the spacers too. I haven't had any problems at all with my C5 wingpan but am just making sure there were no glaring issues others experienced to justify the ls2 upgrade.
