Vararam-ONLY results?
Question about VR-B2 performance results...
Actually could not find a single post on this. All I can find on the entire internet was Vararams very technical/convoluted claims.
Anyone here actually dyno the car before and after the install?
Since the system works via moving air, anyone have time slips from the same track with very similar weather conditions from before and after the install?
Reason I'm asking is simple: I always wanted one because it pulls air directly from the outside front of the car. In theory, this should be extremely effective, but never did much reading on the system. The car I bought came with one -- never installed. So I thought, "awesome!" and installed it the other day. I took it out to check for codes and it pulled like a freight train! So I came back in and researched it and found the usual jargon on Vararam's site.
So, I'm wondering, does it perform as they claim and what have been other members' experiences with this system.

Vararam change only, I went from 13.2 @ 107mph (Showroom stock) to 13.2 @ 108mph with a Halltech Stinger CAI, then 13.0 @ 111mph with only a swap from the stinger to vararam.

they say on the dyno itll pick up like maybe 5 hp but it all works when driving because of how it is a ram air (literally) setup that you pick up alot more power when driving

I went to an LS6 intake, massaged throttle body, VR-B2, and tuned for the mods in one shot. With the addition of these parts and the tune, I went from 12.640 @ 111 to 12.190 @ 114.76.

Welcome back. I haven't seen you around in a while. I watched your passtime episode the other day.

Thanks. Finally starting to feel settled at home with the new wife. Going to finally re-do the garage the way I want it this spring, and once I have a good workspace, it's blower time.

Damn I need to get a Vararam, Im just rocking a K&N CAI.... Probably make a huge difference on my Z... I am making pretty decent numbers though with just that K&N and Borla straight pipes.... 367/364

I would recommend it. It could just be my brain playing tricks on me and wanting to feel results , but I could swear it picks up and goes much smoother with the new intake and feels like it pulls much harder once the air gets moving.

I had one of these but due to a previous wreck with the car, it wouldn't line up so i had to get a killer bee II instead. I wish I could have kept it for this reason.
