Default complete motor

I bought a 1968 camaro that has a 283 engine in it. The engine casting # is 3753519. Is this a vette motor? If so, I will sell it to someone looking to have an all original numbers matching vette. Let me know if anyone has any information on this motor.

The code # is 72FI06DB.

Any info would be appreciated. The motor runs good & is for sale.

The term Numbers Matching, is the Vin Serial, and the engine block serial being the same. So it would not be a Numbers Matching Engine, it would be a "Year correct engine for the car if this is a vette engine. 283s were in the Straight axel C1s so a C1 owner will know if that engine was in a vette.

DB 1958 283 Powerglide - 230 4 truck/1271
DB 1965 283 man trans., 4 spd - 195 - A
DB 1968 307 m/t, 4 s 200 - F X A

These are the possible uses depending upon the cast date on the back right of the block.
Not a vette engine

If selling, forum rules dictate that you must list a $$$ figure for the sales price
Not pulling your chain ... just letting you know :-)

Default 519 motor

What is the casting date on the back passenger side of the block?,,The 519 block was only used three years 59-61,,It was used in both Corvette and Passenger car,,The DB Code you have there was a Passenger car engine, but the engine still has value,Also what heads are on it?
