C6 Seat Rebuild Kits @ JWM
Works with stock seat covers/foam or aftermarket replacements. If you're replacing your seat covers this kit is a must! The kit is also a great improvement for your stock seats.
Benefits of our kit
If you've ever taken your stock seat covers off you have noticed the seats side bolsters do not have any support under them. So as you climb in/out of the seat, the outside bolster foam tears where it contacts the steel seat frame and quickly sags or goes flat. The steel wires in the center area cut into the foam and quickly causes the foam to sag and pinching around the hip area.
The leather looks baggy and deep wrinkles appear. This is not a good look for your Vette! This seat repair kit corrects the seat design defect where there is no support under the side bolsters and the center wires slice into the seat foam.
Included in the kit is the material for 1 seat:
· High density Upholstery foam
· Tough, wear resistant Ballistic nylon fabric to repair the cut foam.
· .25 inch jute pad to make the seat firmer
· Zip ties to replace the metal hog rings.
· Detail step-by-step instructions with

No special tools are required. Spray glue like 3M Super #77 or #90 to attach the pieces will be needed. This is widely available at any home improvement or crafts store.
Our rebuild kit vs replacement foam kits
From our own research we've found the issue of the seat frame cutting to be caused by the area of the side bolsters in the lower seat area. Other kits do nothing to solve this issue. You can expect the same issue if you just purchase the seat foam kits.
We've also found in most C6s the seat foam is fine. They just need better support under the frame which our kit provides.
Stop riding around with no support! Order your kit today

Customer review
I installed the JW Motoring seat rebuild kit after talking to another member who told me that he was quite pleased with the kits he bought for his car. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the result of this project. The job was a piece of cake, too.
My car only has 7k miles on it. I had trouble believing that cars with under 10k miles would have tears in the seat foam, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I'll let the pictures tell you the rest of the story.
Tear is 3/4" deep. At least that. It was probably 8" long as you can see in these pictures. Arrows indicate the torn spot.
This is the part of the frame that does the tearing. Then, it appears to sit in the torn spot and allow the leather to sag and develop deep creases.
Mine was developing some slight creases, but after installing the seat rebuild kit, it filled the outside seat cushion bolsters right back out. The slowly developing creases in my seat were bugging me a little bit, and honestly I can't even see them now. It seriously looks better than brand new. My car looks like it's never been used before.
Thanks JWmotors. My seat looks awesome now.

From there it's just removing the seat cushion which is held on by a string and hog rings. Super easy.
We include directions with them. I don't have an online version or I would post them.

Melting Slicks
I just finished mine. Took about an hour. My foam was split and I glued it back together. I did have to add a few strips of foam to the outside of the bolster to get some wrinkles out. Seat looks and feels new again. I used the jute and the bottom feels firmer. Good clear instructions. Make sure you disconnect the negative side of your battery and wait 5 min. before disconnecting the yellow air bag wires.

Just installed these on my 2008 Z06. These kits are definitely needed. My car has about 8000 easy miles, (no track time) and even with that and my only 175 lbs, there was starting to be damage to the foam from the wire supports. Also, my bottom seat bolster feels better as does the overall feel of the seats. Even the wife likes her passenger side seat better than the stock now. For the money, you can't go wrong. Don't expect Carravagio (SP?) or Recaro seats after you install but if you just want some confidence your seats will last, it is well worth the money.
