Default How To Replace The Batterie In A 1988 Corvette C-4

Remove the screws inside the wheelwell with an allen, or hex wrench three total. Then remove the bolt at the top toward the door jamb where the weatherstripping meets using a 10mm open end wrench. Last at the bottom, (you will have to lay down to do this) between the rocker panel and the side vented panel you will see a screw, using the open end 10mm wrench 'loosen the screw', make sure you do not remove it, and slide out the side vented panel out toward you UREKA!!
Now you can slide out your batterie for winter storage, or replace it with a new batterie.
Note* Use a 13mm socket and wrench to remove the bolt that holds the batterie in place.
Hope this helps all you C-4 lovers out there... Eddie aka Deans88

Well written!...exactly how i did my 86 last week.
You may want to wipe up the battery tray for any debris acid build-up..whatever might be hanging around inside there.
Inspect the cables...clean the cable ends and bolts with a fine wire brush and you're good
