Default HILBORN EFI on a LS3?

Anybody out there using a Hilborn EFI on a LS3? What would be the advantage of using this set up? Would it be drivable on the street?

Big question is why would you do that. The electronic is so much easier and will provide the same if not better performance.

Cab are you talking about the GenIII LS3 or the LS3 Big Block from the early 1970's?

Kinsler makes a intake for the LS engines, I just put there set up on an LSX 454 in a 33 ford. its a bad *** set up but wont fit under a hood thou, not without very short intake stacks

it is electronic and much better than a gm set up.

I was talking about the moden LS3 - but I guess that answers my question. Why would you go back to old school gassers teck when the LS3 already comes with a nice tight little intake package?

They are good for low 900 hp small blocks because they flow about 2000 or so cfm depending on the bore size.

The Hilborne and kinsler 8 stack EFI are wonderful units

there not old tech, they flow more cfm and produce more power than any gm style intake.

I know it isn't an LS3, but here is a short stack electronic injection system.

I think the price tag is why you don't see many (any) people here using them. Looks like Show Car/TV Show/Very Rich Guy technology. Most of us are quite happy with the way the stock LS fuel injection systems work, and they can be tweaked to produce more HP easily.
