That's sad. Good looking Vette ......what's left of it.

YIKES is right . . I've always thought about what happens when fiberglass meets semi as I sit next to an 18 wheeler at a traffic light or heading up the freeway. No shocker that the result is catastrophic, but hopefully, nobody was seriously hurt - -

Burning Brakes
State Police say the Corvette was traveling under the posted speed limit when it was rear ended and forced off the road.
be careful. traveling below the speed limit to save on gas can kill.

Down on Cape Cod a dealership had 2 pace cars sitting out near the road, one of them being a 5,000 mile example of one. A car stopped short, the truck behind it swerved, launched off a rock in front of the dealership and landed on both of them.....

Drifting
If there was more than 1 lane and they were in the most right lane then they were doing nothing wrong by going a little slower.
But with that said they had to slow down a bit to be rearended that bad. I am thinking they slammed on their brakes, maybe road rage?

check out this wreck. The only thing that hurts more than a wrecked vette is the price this guy wants for his car lol.
I love in the video they say "it has original paint, only repainted once"...

I never like to stay abreast of 18 wheelers when at speed lest one of their recap tires blows in my direction which, seeing all the rubber on the road sides, is all too common.

Got a good one. A member here, had a new C6, he took in for noisy rear end service. Couple service guys were road testing it with listening equipment. Semi hit it and dragged it for awhile. Whole thing was completely trashed. Owner driving a loaner car, was caught in traffic because of the wreck. When driving by, thought the trashed car looked kinda familiar. Trucking company bought him a new car.

If you think the '78 is in bad shape. Take a look at this video and say a few prayers for the people in the SUV.
