Curious about the heat. The current lights will melt the housings, I would think the heat from the HID's would make that problem even worse?

Not at all. We have guys running these for quite some time. No melting or warping at all!

Will they work on models that did not come with them from the factory? if so what is involved with the install

You wouldn't be getting into much. Just replacing a bulb and connecting a few wires together. Pm your email if you need installation instructions.

I'm considering a set but have been debating between these, to match the HID headlamps I bought from you, or a set in 3000k (yellow) which I've had on other cars in the past and have been happy with. Any chance of selling those?

GET your car on a rack, and these are super easy to install. DO NOT burn housings and I love mine, they are bright as anything ... and match great to my LED driving lights!! get these -they rule!
