Default 1984 Corvette

Bought this in 2004 with high mileage from a member in FL. Thought if was gonna be a parts car but to my surprise it was a one owner and in excellent running shape.

Very good mechanical condition. My wife drives it back and forth to work daily.
Put all new calipers and pads on it in 2004, A/C was converted to R134a by the previous owner.
Runs strong, even with 224,000 miles the wife drove it on the track last year and she was running a 15.1. Which back in 84 motor trend said it would run that on a track. Every year I do a compression test on the engine and ranges 160 to 180 on all 8 cyl.
It does burn some oil, I believe it to be more of a valve issue..(just old)
Engine is all stock...No mod's have been done.
Borla exhaust done by the previous owner. There is a test pipe in place of the cat, but I do have a magnaflow cat that will go with the car.

I have replaced 1/2 the weather stripping this summer and the targa top is new about a month ago.
Tires are in excellent shape
Windows are tinted.

paint is fair. There are a few stress cracks, and the hood has some fading but not real bad. I say within the next 4 years you might want it painted.

Asking price is $4400. I can deliver by trailer up to 3 hours away from me for approximently $250

Here are some pics, but I will be adding a ton more tomorrow morning when its day light out.

Thank you

I know the mileage is high but the car is solid and tight.

I do have an extra short block with 268H cam that I can sell seperately as well. That had come out of mine. The block has 70k , cam has only about 500 miles on it. I only took it out because PeteK had built me a new 388 for my car.

Really would like to see this gone by the end of this week. My wife's new vette will be here tomorrow and I just need the room.

offers?

Id be there in a heart beat if I could get my truck sold. Ive got a new set of gauges for it and everything. Whats better then a matching set of 84's? Other then the fact that the other one is on jack stands without a trani in it. haha

Here are some photos of the tires I will put on. They are Eagle F1, not to bad of shape. I thought they were worse but do look like you can get a few thousand miles out of them. No cracks on the side walls. Rims are in real good shape. No scratches and look like a good rim to be working with.

I assure you for a price less than 3k your not gonna find a tighter feeling corvette. Had a guy drive it the other day for a test drive. He was gone for 45 min's...wtf? Almost called the cops to report it stolen. When he had return he told me how surprised he was of how tight it was. On the street I'm asking $4900.
So here I have it advertised for a bargain. Anyone would be real happy with this car...its just they're scared of the mileage.
