Going by the steering column,fender-hood bulges,and rear window shape. I would say it's a later C3.

A-Pillar/Drivers window looks like a C3.

The passenger side mirror also looks like a C3, up to when Chevy began using sport mirrors...1977?

It is a 73 Corvette, and a replica of the "Budd Corvette" Race car that Tony Delorenzo of Owens Corning Corvette fame, built in 1973 and was destroyed at the Pontiac Street race. There are a couple other videos that show the entire car.

Half the controllability issue is the guy's driving ability. I think he needs to go back to driving school.

In 1992, a friend and I were co-driving mine and we ended up stuck in a race in the rain while on slicks.

Even on slicks, I never got as far out in the grass as this guy did, and I bet he isn't on slicks.

When I was in driver's school, my instructor was an FF pilot. One of the guys in his group said to listen to him, he knew his stuff, and was one of the smoothest drivers around, enough he could race an FF in the rain on slicks.

He came to look at my car, a rental Corolla ITC, and made the comment that even he wouldn't drive on those tires in the rain.


First day was typical beautiful Florida sunshine.


The second day rained like no tomorrow.


After the first lap or two, which was scarier than (well you know), I decided I couldn't be fast, so just have fun, and ran the best I could. Only had one off track excursion in the rain.

When I got my permit back at the end of the weekend, he'd signed it off for the end of school.

I always liked the rain. The car ran cooler. The truckload of money guys with cubic horsepower couldn't get it to the ground any better than the rest, rain was the great equalizer, and I was still immortal in those days.
