Default Mid Ohio 2011 pics

Have not had much time to go through all of my 900 pictures. Here are a few sneak peaks in advance.

Did the Falken girls know about the forth coming rain? Hmmm......

Maybe I should have stolen their rain tires when I had the chance?

458, Sweet!

I offered to help them push her out. They politely said no thanks.

A lot of activity going on.

All ready to race.

One of my favorites.

Do you see a car in this pic?

Pre race interview with Jan Magnussen.

The Race!

Sorry, I did not get any rain pics with all of the cars sliding off the track. It was exciting to watch. Without the rain, I think Corvette Racing would have brought home the victory.

PS - The Corvette Racing Team was incredible. They were extremely professional and very friendly. I don't think I will ever forget this day.

I have to say that the opposing race camps were equally as gracious. This is truly an amazing sport. I also have to give props to Mid Ohio for hosting such an incredible event.

Corvette was very strong and led much of the race, but finished second behind the Falken Porsche. The rains had come and cars were hydroplaning all over the place bringing the red flag. The Falken Porsche was able to hold the road. rpm94 should have stolen the Falken rain tires while he had the chance

Great pics btw

Yeah, without the rain I think a 1-2 finish was DAMN possible, but a 1-3 finish was likely. I was sitting in the grandstand #2 by turn 4 when the monsoon hit. I sat it out and was SOAKED. I got some great vette shirts from their paddock tent.

I'll be at Road America in two weeks as well. I'm selling my vintage 1969 SCCA racecar with logs back to 1972. It raced with Greenwood, Guldstrand and more. Hopin to find a buyer for that baby! #39 blue 1969 fully restored. If you see me, say hi!

I wonder how much those girls make from doing that? My girlfriend has been doing bikini contest for extra cash but this is something she could do and I'd actually want to come along! Picture for reference (she's #2 in the middle) :

What a great day, my first ALMS race. I was a guest in the Cadillac observation deck located in the s's. The action was great! (except the vette that spun out our buddy Johnny O'connell)

On a side note, a gm designer told me to sell my z06, as the c7 vette is awesome. World class interior, with incredible lines!!

How did you gain access to the Caddy thing? Sell the Z06 and be vetteless waiting for the C7 ehhh? Next time you talk to one of these guys, cover the basics to wipe away the fears:

1) does is look like that stupid split window throwback in Transformers?

Vette won't leave racing, so the car should be geared directly towards racing dominance. For that reason I'm fairly at ease awaiting this C7.

See you all at Road America! I'm bringing my #39 vintage '69 racecar to hopefully sell if I'm lucky. I'll be running HPDE I suppose...so...that'll be me.
