Default Vintage C2 Racing at Tsukuba in Japan!

This vintage 'Vette looks great out there, but there's always the possibility of hitting the wall. Would you race a vintage car, or would you prefer your track toy to be more modern?

That is wonderful footage- and I dig the Alfa as well. As for hitting the wall... you only live once and I applaud anyone using these old cars for sport.

A great thread!

Probably no more expensive to race a thirsty old American car a few times a year than to pay Japanese gasoline prices and road tolls for the same vehicle as even a weekend driver.

That is one clean C2! I like how the two simulated front fender vents were made into one per side.

Why do people ruin perfectly good race videos with stupid music! I just turn it off when it happens. I don't dislike music, in fact I love it, but not at the racetrack, Dah!

Nope, wouldn't race my car unless I had money to burn. Wouldn't driving the tires off of someone else's ride though.

To have those cars racing in Japan? The owners have some VERY fat wallets.

Whats GTO Ferrari going for these days $6-12 million?

The last 250 GTO that I am aware of sold in November of 2008 in Japan for $30 million USD.
People in that market must wait until a current owner WANTS to sell.

Not cars like the GTO. Owners and buyers at that level aren't hurting.

Just like racing Cobras. They seldom are even for sale. When they are? The owners can name their price.
