Default Racing Seats in Z06

Guys,

Has anyone fitted race seats in a 2007 Z06 and had any problems with the sensors? If so is there anyway to wire the seats up or use the original seat brackets to help?

Might be a stupid question but I need to know before having a custom bracket made to suit the new race seats!

Thanks

I have a RaceTech drivers and Cavarraggio passenger. Each very different. You need to retain the stock rails for the airbag system to function. Not only can this be done, I did, but you retain the functionality of adjustment.

Excellent! Thanks mate!

What brackets did you use to adapt them to the original rails? Were they custom?

Thanks again.

You might want to reference this thread before you decide how to proceed.

There is a wiring harness attached to stock seats that you have to bypass if you want airbag and telescoping steering wheel to work properly. The good news is that Pfadt has an adaptor that you can plug into the harness which allows all of these things to work. It's about $100.00.

I used the hardbar rail (http://hardbarusa.com/hardbar/popup_image.php?pID=46) and used a pfadt harnesswire to override the electrical. now the electrical adjustments for the steering wheel work and the airbag.

Im on stock seats but when using my harness I plug the buckle behind the seats. Prevents it from flapping and keep the car happy.
