So are the brakes/ wheels/tires/ and mag suspension really giving them 20 secs at the ring? Any other mods on this package?

I think the truth is starting to really show: the C6 chassis is a damn good platform. Over the last few years GM has gotten to refine the car just as the GTR's engineers have done. Now we see that the nissan can be taken down by a stock car in its same price range and not just the ZR1. I also think Jim mero has probably gotten a little better and confident at getting around the track - that old nurburgring run looks pretty tame compared to his new runs.
As far as what it comes with aside from the shocks brakes and tires, the computer for the magride suspension on the Z07 package comes with a lot of traction/asm modes that the other cars (including the F55 cars) do not have.

Anyone know if the new traction/asm stuff can be loaded into the old computer? Please excuse my ignorance on the subject... I have EFI (I haven't touched my vette with it nor will I until the warranty expires) and am just curious if loading the new logic would be possible.

wow, I wonder if the new ps cups are going to be out in the standard z06 18/19 combo?
(then all I need are the carbon brakes, mag ride setup, and Jim Mero's driving ability!)

Awesome!
Shows how much performance was being left on the table by running the garbage F1 Supercars. The Mag shocks are also a huge performance boost, amazing what a couple tweaks have done.

How's that for fast! The Z06's time was better than the 2009 Corvette ZR1's 7:26.4 lap and comes within 3 seconds of the 2012 Corvette ZR1's lap of 7:19.63. And were talking about a car that costs under $100,000!

I was just comparing this vid to the ZR1 vid.
At the first bridge on the long straight:
Z06 139 mph 6:37.63 6200 rpm
ZR1 145 mph 6:36.56 6400 rpm.
That's really close.
But at the end of the straight at the last bridge:
Z06 168 mph 7:01.72 5500 rpm
ZR1 182 mph 6:59.09 6600 rpm
No longer close, this is where the ZR1 starts showing it's big hp advantage.
At the first bridge on the long straight:

First let me preface this by saying that this is amazing for corvette and the time is incredible.
The ZR1 is only 3 seconds faster than the Z06 on a mid 7 minute track?
Come on! The ZR1 should be much faster than the Z06 over such a long track.
What it goes to show is that these track times are meaningless for comparison.
Driver and track conditions really make a huge difference over such a long track.
I'd love to see actual track data to compare apex speeds of both cars. They SHOULD be identical however I'm guessing the Z06 averaged a higher apex speed than the ZR1 to achieve such a close time to the ZR1.
