INT

With the help of some photo shop the car should look like this when its done. minus the tailpipes and cowl hood

Things are coming to the end!! Once the car is back from DBRODS here in the next few weeks it will be time to put the car back together.

Talked to THE DRIVESHAFT SHOP about the driveshaft. They spec'd a 4' aluminun shaft with billet trans yoke, solid joints and strange 1350 style pinion yoke!! Just have to measure and that takes about 3 weeks to get the shaft.

Im gonna call up north race cars and order their race disc brake setup for the 8.8 running sn95 10.6 rotor out back. This kit does not push the rear tires out a inch on each side like the 93 cobra or stock 5 lug rear end. The guy sells moser 31 spline axles as well. Then Im gonna probably buy a cobra 31 spline diff for the 8.8 and a diff brace cover. Then order some drag radials...

Right now I'm just building it to have fun and roll race. It's the only racing that goes on I'm my area. Later plans are to pull the t56 and run a rossler th400 with the 2.10 first gear and Neal chance convertor. Then have some fun!! Might upgrade the turbos to 76's then. The motors limits is around 2000hp. Will never push it that hard though. Want it to live a long happy life.

CAR ****!!!

Been working on interior stuff!! trying to knock out the things I cant to make it go together quicker when she gets back. My wife bought me brand new upholstery for my factor seats!! So I stripped the seats down and started recovering them. Thank god my boys in the shop have kickass hog ring tools!! I had to order another driver seat low frame and seat brackets. I guess this car had the typical mustang gangsta lean and someone tried to fix it. Did a crap job. Anywa here are before and after pics

Awesome work.... Only problem is its a ford in a vette forum so id have to say i wasted a click except for the monster chevy engine?

Why did you spend all this time and money on a shatbox?? You could of bought a cheap c5 vette and modded it.

Or are you going for the ultimate sleeper?

I posted it up here because it is a LS7 based setup. I have been on here for sometime and just like all the other car forums the LS7 boys like to see modded LS7's performance and gains etc...

I like vettes alot!! But I like racing and cruising alot more. I wanted a car that didnt scare people off when the rolled up on it. Something that said easy kill!! But I also wanted something that was strong, light and had the less amount of weak points. Something that was simple to work on and something that I would not shXt puppies if it got a scratch or chip in the paint.

I sat down a pencil whipped the shxt out of alot of different builds before deciding to do this one. I thought about my priorities. Go fast straight from a roll. Dont need good mpg,1g turns,0-100-0 or worry about taking the wife to dinner in it. I dont need AC or PS for going straight. Those are all things that just cost more money and lead to more problems.

Dont misunderstand me!!! Im not hating on vettes!! Everyone has different priorities. Some want to go fast on 20' radials, some want to stick with irs and t56's, some are hell bent on keeping the creature comforts, some want a car that will do everything and I respect that. I want to go fast straight with the most bulletproof car I can. Something I can beat the crap out of with the least amout of issues.

Mustangs are light to start, can get crazy 60ft's,the 8.8 will take low 8 sec passes, everything is cheap compared to other cars....its the perfect race car with a inspection sticker. Being a 86 I dont have to worry about emissions just a safety inspection.

Or are you going for the ultimate sleeper?
If you were cruised up on a car that looked like this

tell me you wouldnt think in your mind!! I would pound that guy!!!

this is what the motor will retire in later in life

Lets cut this guy some slack. He thought well enough to use an LS motor and LS7 head for his powertrain.

I know how much goes into one of these builds and it's looking great.
