I too have always wanted one of these cars because I just plain always liked the looks of them...

Right before Christmas (last month) One found me...

The seller got my name and phone number from somebody who told him that I "may" consider buying the since I always mentioned that I liked them so much and if I ever purchased another C4 it would be a Grand Sport or a 35th anniv model .

I have not had time to go completely thru the car yet and it has been up on one of my lifts since the day I purchased it and the worst thing I found is the steering wheel which needs some attention... the rest of the interior is in a lot better shape then I would have thought..its darn good and not in need of any tender loving care...... Mechanically it needed tires and a front hub but the seller took care of that MAJOR problem) and it passed the State inspection...(which since it is now over 20 years old it did not have to go thru anyway) So I paid his asking price with a smile

However the roofs metal trim is painted white not black ??..and the original Radio was replaced with a fancy aftermarket one and the number plate which shows which one of the 2050 it really is is just not there .....although the Z01 option code is on the option sticker on the car ??..

Anyway I'm happy and I have all the maintenance records for the last 8 years the seller owned the car

Not much info on the net about these cars the 35th registry is like DEAD...

I've been lurking on this site for a while, but after reading this thread I decided to create a screen name and start posting. I grew up in the 80's and always loved corvettes. The 1988 35th Anniversary caught my attention back in 1988 when I was 10 years old. From the first time I laid my eyes on one, I always said to my self that one day I'll have one. Well, one of the 35th editions found me also. I bought #1224 back in June of 2010. It's a garage queen with 48K miles, and it never endured the elements. I am the 3rd owner, and I have all of the service records a well. This car still intrigues me.

Nice writeup, I have been looking for one for a while but have not been able to find one up to my standards at a reasonable price. Saw a couple that were close but they changed the white seats to black. Still looking and will find one when the time is right.

Welcome aboard, Chuck.

I'm a big fan of the 35th annv. cars, too.

Its funny But I always got a "hard Time" from fellow Corvette Club members about my "desire" to own one... To be honest everyone just looks at me and says "WHITE WHEELS" ????? ya gotta be kidding me... !!!!

Anyway I now own one.... and I'm quite happy !!!!

The whole theme of the 35th cars is everything being the way it left the factory. Black seats....ridiculous IMO.

I just recently bought a 35th anniversary vette with 52,000 miles. I have always liked the car but didnt relize untill recently how rare the car is. The guy I bought it from had a pile of documentation that went along with the car. The car has a great paint job on it , but it is not original. How does the fact that the car does not have original paint and exhaust effect the value? Even so, this car is a joy to drive. Cant wait for the Daytona spring show to show this baby off.
