blower motor wiring
there is a single piece of wiring that wraps around the blower motor, plugs into it and into the forward harness on the passenger side at the firewall. that is the piece i am looking for. i do know that Lectric Limited does not make it. I may have to find a used one if someone can help me out.

The single wire (black w/ orange tracer) that supplies power on the back side of the motor, goes to the connector on the front on the blower motor at the switch. It is part of the rear harness.

How about a clue for what year you're asking about, and whether it's for the heater blower or for the coupe rear ventilation blower? Your profile has no car info.

Are you talking about the short wire that plugs into your heater blower motor with the capacitor on it and plugs into the under hood harness? If so I think I have one, What year? 64-67 ? 63 is not the same.

blower motor wire
sorry, since i never owned a coupe I forgot about "that" blower motor. I have a 66 conv. and yes i need the wire that goes from the front harness to the heater blower motor.

It's part of the main dash harness I believe. Should be no problem to make and splice a new one on if you can find where it is cut. You could also harvest one from a used harness. Pilot Dan

no, it is not part of the main harness. it is an individual piece about 18" long. I have identified the recepticle in the forward harness that runs down the pass. side to the starter. I have installed these before on cars i restored, but the project i am working on was missing this wire.

Magred: What color is the wire and what type of plug is on it? I have one from a 67 harness. The wire is orange and the plug is a cylindrical item that goes over a male spade.

There are no 18" individual wires in that area; the black ground wire from the outboard starter attaching bolt to the heater blower and the wiper motor is also part of the engine harness.

The power feed to the blower motor is a 14-ga. orange wire with a molded rubber female connector on it that plugs onto the male spade on the blower motor; that wire is part of the engine harness. If the car has a radio, it also takes a capacitor with a wire on each end that goes between the orange wire and the motor, shown in the Assembly Manual in section U69, sheet A6, item #3.

I am the original owner of a 63 swc. Early,Nov 62 There is a spade connector on the blower motor to the wire coming out of the harness, BUT there is no capacitor anywhere near the blower . (or provision for mounting same) I hear that there was supposed too be one. Did the early 63 have one? Regards. Abe G I checked and 65 is correct! Heres what I found on my original 63swc. Short black wire(ground)has plastic black female to spade fitting on round motor mount flange nut. No capacitor! red wire from harness has female connector to male on motor. (no apparent capacitor wire anywhere) Would capacitor lead just fit under flange nut? I have minimum radio interference when blower motor on.

I have a 63 built in nov 62 it has this short black wire and capacitor on it, it is about 15 in long and the capacitor is mounted under one of the screws that holds the blower motor on. If your blower has a flat spade fitting it is not 63, they were a round female connector on the motor and a round male connector on the harness. only 63 hard to find.
