Hello All,

It's that time again!


The last couple of years have been so good, we are having it again! The 3rd annual All Corvette Shootout will be at US41 Dragway in Morroco, IN on Saturday Oct 23rd. Gates open at 9am. Awards around 3:30pm Raindate on the 30th.

I know there were a number from the forum who came last year. Hopefully we can get even more this year. Typically we have around 60 vettes or more. It is a bracket style format with Trophies and possibly cash awards for 1st-4th place as well as fastest ET, highest MPH, and best reaction time.

There is also a Club Championship with a traveling trophy for clubs with at least 3 members racing.

Cost is $35 to race and $12 to spectate.

I just joined the CPCC in July. Nice group of folks and some BEAUTIFUL cars! I haven't spent a day at a dragstrip in a LONG time. Looking forward to it!

Will I take the '92 down the track? Yeah, I'm sure I will.

I am sure most vette owners want to know what their car will do in the quarter mile. This is the time to find out!

No safety equipment required (helmets always a good idea). Convertibles can run too!

Generally I have a class at the starting line for those interested. We provide training for first-timers and rookies to help you understand the lights, the track, and the timeslips, and safety.

FYI Morocco is 30 miles south of Cedar Lake on US 41. It is about 70 south east of Chicago. The strip has been renamed "No Limit Raceway" this year.

Yep that was the last run when I went too fast for my dial in time and you won.. Sure I'll share what I remember from last year..

I need help when everybody is at the line and wants to their dial-ins. It gets kind of frantic.

I haven't been to a drag strip since my teen years at beautiful US30 drag strip. I was a Mopar guy then. If I'm free that day I'll try to get out there. I'm interested in joining the CP vette club but I just didn't have the time this year.

I reserved the weather as 75 degrees and sunny for the 23rd. No worries.

Hell, My engine is out of my car and I can still guarantee I will be there.

Yep can't wait.. unfortunately I had to unload the vette, since we had to haul a car up to New York this weekend, last minute.. so I'll be re-loading it up friday night...
