ERL 500 CI LS7 complete Long block
Ill post a few pics in the next day but looking to move it pretty quick.
Its an ERL Tall deck shortblock
Setup has about 6k miles on it, needs nothing. I daily drove it before I sold my car, never had a chance to develop it at all, so it sat a 500 rwhp (@5200) and 580 rwtq @ 3900. It makes 460 rwtq @ Idle. No thats not a typo. From a 1000 rpm pull, it makes that much torque.
Before the haters and un-realists come in here and bash my setup, I wanted a lot of torque, and a FUN street car. IT MAKES MORE POWER AND TORQUE THAN A STOCK ZR1 till 5k.
I NEVER had time to fully optimize headers, cam, or even remotely think about head work. I just put it in with a SMALL cam, small headers, and enjoyed it.
For putting around, enjoying my daily commute, that was perfect. Power everywhere.
You will need a modified set of headers, which I can supply for extra, I had quickly thrown-together 1 3/4 on this setup, as it was all I had time for. A good set of 2" would do wonders for this combo.
For this entire longblock assembley, cam, heads, everything, asking 8.5k, OBO!! Cash, paypal(ouch, ill go 1/2 on the fees with you) and certified funds only.
Can work out install deal as well if you are interested.
Thanks
Louis

Highly unlikely. I was skeptical of the setup, which is why I tried it in my car first. The machine work and attention to detail in an ERL engine is fantastic.
I would be willing to reduce the price a little bit so it can be sent back to ERL for them to go through before it went into your car.
Remember, you can sell your LS7 to offset the cost, you would have labor, plus less than 5k to have it all done. THats a steal.
This shortblock, BARE, is 11k new. You can have this COMPLETE engine for 2k Less.

Wow, what a nice price for someone for a mountain LS 500ci tree stump puller!
What rwhp and rwtq did it make between 6000 and 6500 rpm, or did you only spin up to 5200 on the dyno?
Best of luck on your sale of this Monster of an LS engine!

What kind of power can this monster make N/A with a good set of cam, headers and intake ? So If I understand correctly, I can keep my RR Lethal cam, Fast intake but not my AR headers ?

With a good set of heads, and the right cam, I think 650 rwhp would be no problem.
Youll need to spec a cam through ERL, as they need to be machined by them in order to fit. They have a few good shelf grinds. Mine was the smallest they had ever cut

What extra parts would I need to buy to put this in my A6 LS2 coupe? If I read correctly I would have to take the ls2 out, put this engine in, buy custom headers, and a ls7 intake, correct?
Price is adding up, even though this motor sounds like a beast.

yes, thats correct. I have to modify the LS2 pan if you do not retain the drysump, which I have already started.
Im negotiable. If you are interested, shoot me an offer, worst case I say no
I will separate it too, make it a shortblock for less cash.

It will fit, plan on modifying the header a little to make it work, and maybe some cowl work because the intake is 3/4" higher. The C6 doesnt need cowl work, I dont believe the C5 would need the clearance, but I cant speak from experience...
