Ryan....Not looking good for me I'll know for sure next week. I over rev'd my Vette on the 5th and picked up a ticking noise in my motor, had it flat bedded to ECS Labor Day. There is a chance it might be a easy fix or a complete engine tear dn....if it is a tear dn, then Toy's for Tots will be out also.

Link works for me, but no big deal. Anyone else have issues with the link?
Here's the flyer. I'm not associated with the club, just trying to spread some information about a great event.
As for your questions:
You gather at the airport in Ocean City, NJ. Then go on a controled drive onto the boardwalk. You leave the cars up there for a few hours while the judges take a look and then there is a trophy presentation. Then the cars drive off the boardwalk. Its usually a great day in September when the weather is cooling off. Plenty to do since you can walk the boardwalk, vist all the shops and also take a look at some great cars from all corvette generations.
As a matter of fact, the guy above, Barry (BT-01-Vette) won last year for Fastest looking vette (?) which it can back up every single bit.

Barry, as far as I'm concerned this event will just not be the same without you there. How many years has it been that you and I have seen each other at this show?????? Quite a few, this would be 9 years I think
BTW, the link worked for me, you just have to be patient with it, it IS slow loading.....
See you guys on the Boardwalk. This really is a fun show every year..

Sorry to hear that Barry. You've been going to this for a while, I know it's one of your favorites as well. I'd offer you a ride, but figures this is the year that my wife is actually going to drive with me. Keep me posted, hopefully it's just a minor issue that the ECS guys can fix quickly.
Hmm,
Link works for me, but no big deal. Anyone else have issues with the link?

Thanks guys we will see how the chips fall, the type of repair is in the hands of the Vette Gods now. I called ECS this week and Ed (Ole 55) happened to be there. He offered me one of his Vettes to drive down but it would not be the same. I would feel bad not having mine there not to mention I wouldn't want to be responsible for his but regardless....is Ed one of the best or what Thanks for the extremely generous offer!! Hopefully ECS will be able to get to me this week coming and the problem turns out to the lesser of the 2 evils than tearing dn the motor completely.

Thanks to all for posting about our 20th annual show on the Ocean City, NJ Boardwalk. It is the event everyone waits for all summer long! Please see www.boardwalkcorvettes.com for more info, or call the show hotline - 609-457-0081. Don't forget to bring a donation for the food cupboard or humane society! The food cupboard is looking for any non-perishable food products. The humane society needs pet foods, litter, laundry detergent, paper towels, old linens, newspaper, Dawn (blue) dish soap, etc. We'll see you there on 9/26/10.

The Wife and I have always enjoyed this car/people day and if nothing else it's a day on the boards with GREAT parking (IE; you park your Corvette on the boardwalk)

Quite a generous offer of your car for Barry to drive down Ed, but not surprising, you (and Ruthanne) are truly good people.
See you all there, weather forcast looks like 78 and sunny so far.

Thanks Glenn, are the shops open on the boards? Do they happen to have Taylor Pork Roll shops on the boards , like ATlantic City and ocean city Md. had back in the 50's/60's? I love that stuff and it's only available in restaurants in NJ.

ALL the shops will be open. As for the Taylor Pork roll, I don't know....
Here are a couple pcs from last years show
That's my Co-Pilot, Marissa. She's been my Co-Pilot for the past 5 years.
In 2009 Marissa won "The Cutest Co-Pilot" award at the show...

Thanks Glenn for posting the pics. Truely a great event and everyone has a good time. Weather so far looks FANTASTIC. I'm guessing a lot of cars this year.
As for the Pork roll, there are a few places to get it on the boardwalk. No branded resturants, but some that carry what you're looking for. Always fun to eat you way up and down the boardwalk, which my friends know I have done far too often.
Time to start talking about meeting spots. Any of the SJ crew want to meet up beforehand. (Anyone really, not just SJ).
