I race my 05 its NOT a wide body, & for drag racing, I got a set of 2004 18x10" thin spoke wheels, & use Micky Thompson 305/35x18 DR they fit perfect and do NOT stick out...
I also bought a set of OEM fender flairs (the black rubber ones) got all 4 for app $106... so when I do burn outs I don't get any rubber on the rear 1/4 panals...

I just put on Toyo Proxy R888 tires on the stock 5 spoke rims. I went up one size wider in front (I think 255s) and up to 295s in the rear. They look great and handle great. They are not full slicks and are still streatable, but they seem to be great tires.

I use 9.5 x 17 wheels with 275/40 x 17 DRs. I was using C4 sawblades, but have switched to C5 Z06 fronts to save weight.
17s will allow you more available tire choices. They also give you a taller sidewall to flex on the launch.
