I hope you don't take offense to the question but, what documents and/or proof do you have that it is, in fact, a Baldwin-Motion built Maco Shark?
These kits were available through multiple vendors back in the day; hell you could even buy the kits through Motion Performance but, that doesn't mean the car is a "Motion" Maco Shark.

Again, not trying to start anything just hoping to get some additional details; oh and a picture of the car couldn't hurt.

there are 3 differant class of motion mako sharks the first and best is a true baldwin motion mako shark sold by baldwin chevrolet and built by motion and one of these would be priced north of a half million dollars the second and middle class is a shop car and thats a car that was bought at any other dealer and the owner brought the car to motion for the modifications and those are going for between 3 and 4 hundred thousand dollars and the bottom class is whats called a catolog car and thats a car that was built with motion parts but motion had nothing to do with the building of the car some other shop built it and frame off restorations of these go for between 1 and 3 hundred thousand dollars. due to not having any documentation and that anyone can just look at my car and see it is unmistakingly built with motion parts i am pricing mine mine as the lowest grade being a catolog car. joel rosen will do all the research what type of car i have for $2500 and that could only make the car go up to a better class it cant go down because i calling it a catolog car. i have seen the letters that joel writes for catolog cars and its not much for the money it only says that the car was built with motion parts but motion had nothing to do with the build. me personally think 2500 is alot to pay for his autograph but if the person that buys my car wants to spend the money and pay joel, it could only bring good news and move it up the ladder. thanks for you interest and i hope this is understandable

I think it's worth $2500 to get confirmation that you may have a $500,000.00 car. Either way, even at $100,000-$300,000 $2500 seems worth it to get proper documentation. Just my 2cents

We discussed this in another thread (since deleted) and even posted the pictures of it that he had put up on Craigslist. He's deleted most of those postings, but if you're quick, you can probably catch a glimpse of it here:

Hello, I have some bricks. Looks like they were used to build the Brooklyn Bridge. Worth big bucks if verified. The City of NY will verify for a fee, but I am willing to sell my bricks for a big buck offer if you are willing to take the risk...

I'm not trying to mess with your sale, but since you brought up the value of these various degrees of Maco Sharks, I'd like to hear more.

So you are saying that this car has a potential to sell for $100,000 to $300,000?

So in this condition, what would you say it is worth?

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-g...shark-2-a.html

Maybe you need to post more pictures of your car to show why it is what you say it is. Interior shots, shots of the bodywork, etc. This would go a long way to helping your sale.

Heck. If I buy it for $3000 and have it verified for $2500, I would be into it for only $5500. Then once it's verified I sell it for $100,000. Why don't these people verify the cars? What else could they be if not Baldwin Mako whatever? Were there fake Baldwins?

I don't know why, if this is a six figure car, it hasn't sold. Sounds like the one that goes, "you have been awarded $130,000,000 from a wealthy person in Spain. All you have to do is spend $2500 to verify the account and we will send you the remaining balance of $129,999,950.
If you say that it is a baldwin, produce paperwork to show it, carfax, something. Simple. Otherwise it'sworth $3000, if you can get somone to pay that.

My '73 BB has Baldwin valve covers (I think) so what's that make mine worth? It was originally sold in Canada.
Offered $30,000 by a friend and turned it down.
Don't know what else it has but it don't sound stock when it idles with the new chambered exhaust system on it.

I love my car and its not for sale!

So what does this have to do with the OP selling his car? People, read the rules about sales interference. Some of these questions are legit but some are not.
