Mom is coming to the end
Looks like Mom is coming to the end of the road . she is in no pain or discomfort but she is sleeping all the time . she does not want to get out of bed to socialize with other residents . she is losing her appetite and her breathing is very labored . they have her on oxygen it helps a little . she is on comfort care I will call her hospice nurse and update them just in case that they have not been there towards the end of the this week . it seems she is a little worse everyday . all the grand-kids saw her today just in case they don't get here at the end . I just want to thank all of you here for being there for me . especially Len & Jimmy you two have gone above and beyond friendship . so if you see i am not around most likely it's Mom , she lived a long good life never sick or in the hospital till her last few years . I guess a Martini a day keeps the doctor away
on a side note there will not be a wake these are her wishes , there will be an hour in the morning then to the cemetery and no lunch . there really is no family left then the grand kids and I . and we will go out to dinner that night . I have to say this it's my Mom she is like the energizer bunny she keeps going & going . but I really feel the end is near thanks guys will keep you all informed as things progress .............

Johnny thoughts and prayers for you, mom and your family and you know I know what your going through. Also, thank you for you kind words my friend.
Stay strong and keep the faith and feel free to call me if you want to talk or need anything. At least as you and I have discussed several times recently, when GOD takes both our mom's home to heaven, there will be no more old age, worrying, crying, sickness or suffering for them. Of course even though we both know our moms are coming close to the end and are already getting mentally prepared for it, there will still be alot of grieving and sadness when our mom's finally go home to GOD, because we know we won't seem them again in this world, but there is some strong peace knowing that we will be reunited with them and all our loved ones, someday when GOD also calls us home.
Take care my friend and talk to you soon.

Johnny,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom. I spent 1 1/2 weeks with my Dad out in Colorado three weeks ago because he isn't doing well. We made arrangements for Hospice care as well. It was very difficult seeing my hero so sick and unable to care for himself. He'll be 92-years old in a couple of weeks and he's had a great life, but I'm still having a difficult time dealing with it. I call and talk to him every day because I want him to know how much I love him. Hang in there and you're both in my prayers.

Sorry, I know what it is like and what you are going through. My mother passed in November. Honor her wishes and keep the good times in your heart. As months pass you will wish you could call her and you can't. That what memories are for
