Since Sept 2007 (the start of the 2008 model year), all 4-wheeled vehicles less than 10,000 lbs must have a Tire Pressure Monitor System.

So.....every tire shop should have the tool required and know how to deal with your sensors.

Many reports here on the forum say that their local Discount Tire will do it for free.

It only takes about a minute, but it would be good if you know the procedure so you can help them out.

BTW, I assume you have a an '06 based on your forum name!

If anybody reading has a 2010, you don't need the tool to trigger your sensors - you can trigger the sensors during the relearn procedure by changing pressure in the tire (so you'll need a compressor to reset tire pressures after programming the sensors, but you won't need a tool!!).

As mentioned in earlier responses any tire dealer should have the tool. If you aren't going to change your wheels back and forth that's probably the best way to go. If you are going to change wheels more often you might want to check out the ATEQ model VT10. I recently got one from the Tire Rack and it worked well and was very easy to use.

Buy this tool from tire rack http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...111&VT10_Qty=1 ($105) if you have multi sets of wheels/tires for your ride. It works great! Been using it for the past two years without issue.

Tire Rack has two ATEQ tools, the other being one that plugs into the OBDII port. It seems to be more advanced and is only $30 more. Anyone used this one yet or know about it for swapping track wheels on on a 2009 C6?

Edit: I did more research, that tool is for Asian cars that can't use the regular tool, where you have to reprogram the ECU. The Corvette is not listed as a supported application yet. It does have some cool features though and will probably be the tool to use in the future.

The OBDII look's interesting, but seem's limited to changing between wheel set's for the same car. We all either now or will soon own several TMPS equipped in our garage's at same time, so think a more conventional reset tool is best. I'd also get a tool that can communicate with the sensor's, rather than just reset it. Doesn't sound like much, but I can check the track wheel sensor's in the basement with my Bartec tool, before I'm pulling my hair out trying to program them on the car. From what I'm seeing, the bargain is OTC Tips003A for less than $100 from many online tool store's.
