Default Changes for the 2011 Corvette

I listed these changes in another post about the download for the 2011 Corvette Order Guide, but I wanted to start a separate post to discuss the actual changes coming for 2011.

After going through the whole order guide a few times, here's what I found that is new:

New Colors:
  • Supersonic Blue
  • Inferno Orange

New Options:
  • Shift ***** with colored stitching (dealer installed)
  • Headlamp Color Options (Silver, Gray or Black)
  • New Wheels for coupe and convertible in silver, comp gray, machined aluminum and chrome
  • ZR1-type F55 for Grand Sport
  • Gen2 super track tires for Z06 and MN6 Grand Sports with F55
  • Z51-like brakes and rotor option for coupe and convertible
  • Battery Protection Package option
  • Carbon Fiber Package for Z06
  • Z07 Package for Z06
  • USB and Audio inputs for Nav systems

Discuss

Thanks!

Dave

I'd venture to say it's a prewired hook up for a battery tender.

Will the A6 Grand Sport get the dry-sump engine? Thought I saw this mentioned one or the other somewhere, but can't find it.

At the 2008 PRI show C-TECH said that a battery Maint package was to be a option in 2010 but i guess it was pushed back a year. At that time they were to be the vender.

From what I understand, this is a trickle charger that will plug into your lighter and then out to a regular plug. It will come with its own Corvette-logoed case.

So the USB input would get rid of the need for PAL. That is really the only thing I see as significant IMO, unless one of the colors gives you a tingly feeling. Since they did away with the linen interior, I sill can't get a Z06 my way so I will just keep the 08 Coupe for now.

Page 10 of the Order Guide shows that A6 GS will not get the dry sump.

Default My Prayer Answered -- F55 for 2011 GS

I will be ordering 2011 GSonce the pricing is out.. I almost caved in on buying a 2010 GS when pricing was most aggressive but w/o F55 I felt I would regret the decision. Having a 2008 coupe w/f55 in WI (poor roads) I was willing to wait and hope GM hear our voices on this forum. Thank you GM!!!

They will have the new wheels at the Bash this weekend so we should have plenty of pics of it by the weekend.
