Hydraulic Jack Cross Bar? Found it here...
Northern Tool no longer sells the cross bar, I found it here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=200402128326
Bought one. Fast delivery and good quality.
I thought others on this forum might want to know.

I bought a similar one here (also finding that Northern Tool wasn't selling them anymore)

Haven't tried it yet - the studs underneath the pads are really long (to the point I may have to chop them down to make them not drag on the ground). I'll be changing my oil soon so I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a pair of 3 ton Craftsman jacks with a pair of the Northern Tool crossbeams. They work great. The narower one fits the front and the wider one fits the rear. I can get the car up high and level. Once it is raised I put a jack stand underneath each end of the crossbeams.

Ever see the TV show called 1000 Ways to Die.
I can see it now, Jan's rig worked fine for a few times but then the $3 piece of Pine snapped in half, jack slipped out and Jan was squished down to the thickness of a bloody speed bump. Somebody get a mop.

Actually, the wood is more forgiving on the front magnesium cradle. You do not get under the car until it is supported with jack stands.
Jan, would you post a picture of your adapter?

The steel crossmember dosn't come into contact with the crossmember, the rubber pads do.
BTW it's embarassing to admit it, but before I got the steel crossmembers, I had a homemade wood one that I had rigged up, I felt like a complete fool when it snapped in half.
