Antioch Bridge closed today
I was on my way up to Abel Chevrolet in Rio Vista to pick up my old Borla exhaust and then enjoy some fun in the sun in the delta early this afternoon. I got to the Antioch Bridge and it was closed. Everyone was being turned around. Would anyone know what happened? There was a Z06 in back of me who was not very happy about it all.

I was turned around also. CHP said it was the bridge by Brennan(?)Island stuck up. I went H4 to I5 then H12 to Abel Chev. Drooled alittle on the 09 Z06 sitting in front. The road was open on the way back. My first chance to put some miles on the C5 with the top down Saw a few vettes on the road but expected more. A great day.

I thought about taking 4 since I wanted to take my boat out, after Abel. Wonder which bridge it was - Rio Vista or the smaller one on 160 that runs along the river. Bet alot of Presidents' Day were ruined. I had my TrailBlazer but when I got home took the '99 coupe out again for some open air cruising. Saw a blue C4 coupe a couple times - a forum member perhaps?

Wouldnt it be nice if they would warn you ahead of time, instead of driving all the way down to the bridge just to get turned around. No reason they couldnt put it on the big LED signs going down HWY4

We were at our boat @ Oxbow Friday - Monday and headed to Rio Vista Sunday (the Point) for brunch. No traffic issues for us. Where do you keep your boat?

Bracati,
I'm at Oxbow too. Have a small Crownline I keep in the Walnut Grove shed by the pool. Where are you? Think I was at the bridge around 1-1:30. Did make Oxbow on Sunday and took a cruise up and down Georgiana. Great weather. Made it up yesterday and also went to The Point. Going back tomorrow with another Point lunch. I'm guessing you have a big cruiser, or vacation home, since you were there all weekend.

Pretty cool
We are in shed C with our 2000 Green/White Regal 2960. We headed to Pittsburg on Saturday for lunch and gas @ $2.89 a gallon. We then spent the rest of the time at the guest docks hanging out.
If you were at the Christmas party, you would have seen me in the light parade with the palm tree on the bow. See you at Oxbow. Brad

Brad, I remember seeing your boat. I cruised my Crownline down along the gas dock, around 3-4 on Sunday, turned around and headed back to my berth. Am thinking of moving it to the 24' docks by the gas dock. Was furious that I couldn't make it there on Monday. Really wanted to take advantage of the nice weather. Am going back to Abel tomorrow to finish my GHL Bullet exhaust install and have the Z06 rear brake ducts installed if the parts are in. Will PM you when I next get back to Oxbow (the next decent weather). Maybe come by for a beer. Pete

I'm having my boat drives serviced next week, so maybe at Oxbow the following WE. Hopping for nice weather and maybe a fish or two in the water to catch. Yip, got a beer with your name on it for you. later, Brad

Brad, I'd fully expect to supply my own beer ..... Who is servicing your boat? I need a basic service too. Will probably have Bob Rapp do it. Pete

Bobby Rapp - good guy. His Brother Steve is a pro AMA motorcycle racer and expected to ride a Ducati this year. As I understand, Bobby does not service out drives. I'm going to Perry's Gliedt"s Boat Shop. Tony is attempting to build a business and has a guy - John working for him. John will be pulling my drives and servicing them. I will be changing my own oil and filters to follow.

Bob has serviced my out drive (Volvo Penta Duo Prop). I guess I can hijack my own thread with boat talk. He did the fluids and new impeller. Yeh, Perrys sure has turned into a quality place.
Still waiting on some parts for the ZO6 rear brake ducts. Am spending alot of time at The Point these days. Awsume calamari steak today.

I'll be back to The Point again on Thursday. Having the Z06 brake ducts installed at Abel then.
Not sure what is biting these days, but people are fishing on the water and banks by the bridge.
