Bad info - that head was never used on a 302. It was used on the '69 L-48 (350/300hp) Camaro SS; has the 1.94"/1.5" valves.

Default casting numbers

a good reference book I have is 1955-82 Corvette by the numbers by Alan L. Colvin

it shows Head#3947041 on page 153 apply to 1969 350 cu. 300 HP, unverified on the 350 HP, and 1970 350 cu 350 & 370 HP.

In the notes section it states the head is identical with #3782461 (a 327 head used in 1965 and 1966) except for a redisgned combustion chamber, the addition of a temperature sending unit boss and 3 accessory bolt holes added to the end of each head. This head was interchanged on some models with #3927186 and 3927187.

hope this helps

Mortec.com is a pretty good decoding source, but it has a number of minor errors and they don't work real hard to correct them.
