Default Window seals

The window seals are leaking like a crazy on my 01 Z06. I was wondering what are some good companies that make replacement seals. Nothing like finding standing water in your car the day after Thanksgiving. So I guess I'll be pulling the interior out to dry it out. Thanks for the help guys.

My Vert leaks on both sides. Don't know what new weatherstripping runs for a Z06, but its $100 a foot for a Vert. These are custom molded and have not found any aftermarket or viable substitutes. I will probably just bite the bullet. $800 for a full set..

My coupe leaks on the drivers side window and at the corner of the targa top (rear side drivers side). I too have not found an aftermarket alternative so will have to just go with the overpriced GM OEM pieces. They are not cheap but there seems to be no option. Corvette America site has a nice description and schematic in their catalog listing by type of body and year.

You might check with Gene at gmpartshouse.com and see what kind of price he has on them.

I saw some for sale on the forum a while back, but not sure if they have been sold or not.

Where could i find that part number for them? It's the soft seal the window hits when you roll it up.

I seem to have a leak at the top of my A piller on my FRC, would this typically be a door seal leak? the seal looks to be in good shape.

A common mod for the F-series trucks is to remove the weather stripping and run some 1/4" laytex (surgical) hose through the channel and reinstall for a stiffer seal...

I'd say it would be safer just biting the bullet and getting OEM. Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet will give you a good deal. He has employee pricing during December.

Just a thought but where is the standing water? If its the passenger footwell are you sure its not the AC udders that are blocked. They can put out a surprising amount of water according to those who have had the problem. It collects in the footwell

Do the weather strips look bad? I ask because I remember seeing a thread around here about needing to adjust the window from the bottom of the door to help it seat better. Might save you some money to try that first.

You can probably email or call one of the online deealers to find out the part #. I usually use chevy parts, I like them because i can call and talk to them to get the part #.
