Short answer: yes, I recommend a 2008 for the right price.
Unless you want the look of the Grand Sport, there are not enough improvments from 2008 to 2010 to justify spending a lot of extra money. The engine and transmission are the same. The main interior changes (faux, and imho much better looking) carbon fiber center console appointments, steering, etc. were improved in 2008. The things I can think of are bluetooth integration in 2009, and launch control in 2010. Not worth it, in my opinion.

Split the difference and get a 2009. The current GM cash back on a 2008 is $6,000, the 2009 is $4,000. The 2009, other than a 1LT, has Bluetooth if that matters to you. The 2009 should always be worth at least the cash back difference over the 2008 and you can work a great deal on a 2009. There is still a nice selection of new 2009s available, especially if your willing to travel to get exactly what you want.

In addition to the Bluetooth on the '09, side airbags were added to the 2LT and up.
In 2010, side airbags were added as standard to the 1LT, too.
I think you can get that black Corvette for cheaper than $49K. If they know you're serious, they would be dumb not to knock off a $2-3K more.
It would be great to know what the factory to dealer cash would be.

Besides the GS addition for 2010 and launch control for the manuals, not much really. The GS might even be slower than a 2008 Z51 due to less weight/resistance.
