Need opinions on making this hood!!
Well since our C5 and C6 projects were done a while back and now just awaiting parts, I think its time to start a couple more projects. I am going to do a rear bumper with molded in wing and diffuser, but I have been approached several times about making a new hood. Here is a link to what we have in mind.

We would make it somewhat the same as those, but with no cowl. I was even thinking on the sides where the louvers are, I wouldn't have them raised up, I would have it flush (I think it would look cleaner)
Anyway that's why I figured I would start the thread, that way I could get some ideas and opinions. I might be able to start this project within the next couple weeks.

I would love something like that! Been really wanting a non-cowl louvered hood for the C5. ACP makes one called the world challenge hood, but it's nearly $2000. This will be very popular if you can bring it to market.
Here is the one ACP makes that I LOVE but can't justify the cost:
Make something like this in carbon for around $1000 and I'll buy it.

I think I agree with you that the louvers would look better flushed so they don't look so stuck on. I don't much like the hood and wouldn't order one, but it's always good to have variety.

Good luck with the project - that hood does look very good.
