ZR1 Convertible?
More info on this car: The owner of this ZR1 bought a Velocity Yellow convertible at the same time he purchased the ZR1, then had the shop convert the ZR1 using the brand new donor convertible....
I don't really like it............ but to each his own. The convertible seems to ruin the "badness" of the ZR1 to me...

Gay. I actually think they did a great execution but just the thought of a convertible ZR1 is gay to me. I don't like the ZR1 wheels period, I think Chevrolet could have done much better on the design of those wheels.

did somebody actually ruin a perfectly good ZR1?

Someone could have taken a donor ZR1 and transferred it all to a ragtop. Looks like they did a great job. I am not a yellow person, but the execution appears to be top notch. I do hate to see this happen again - like it did with the Z06 body pieces. I did not mind it as much as long as it was not identified as a Z06 with the emblems in place throughout the car. I have seen some nicely done ones with Z51 emblems or no emblems at all. The ones that clone a Z06 and soon to be lots of ZR1s with all the identifying markings I don't feel is right and I don't care for. If you look behind the front wheels on the frame and see a C6 emblem there, it would identify this as being a true ZR1 that someone made into a ragtop - I doubt this was done, but its only my thoughts on the matter.

Got to agree with you, though I still think its a steel framed Vette with ZR1 stuff added, at least I hope it doesn't have an aluminum frame with no top for support!

They won't even let him at any race track I know of "as is"
What a shame to dispose of that nice carbon fibre roll over hoop and roof....

i think they did good job making it into a vert. Not fond of the yellow but the craftsmanship looks great. if he's not gonna track it(which obviously it's gonna be a show and cruise car) there is nothing wrong with cutting the top off. Yeah he could buy a vert and put an ls9 in it but its still a regular old c6 vert. How many people can say they have a zr1 vert? well from the looks of it only this guy.
The wheels aren't the worst GM's put out. Two words, Wagon Wheels. Who know's he might have a set of HRE being made as we speak.
i think he deserves an A for creativity

Do we actually know they never stiffened up the chassis?? If this was done by a reputable company, that is the first thing they do, they are not dumb. For those that say the execution is horrible or they don't like it???? So, you hate convertible Corvettes???? cause there ain't know dif between this one and a GM one. Who cares that the owner did this to his car, he can do whatever he wants to it...maybe this owner should post some pics of some of the ridiculous mods some members on this forum have done to their Corvettes....
