Default new GM card incentive

In the mail today was a new GM Card incentive offer-raising your redeemable amount to $2,000 between now and June 30th. The cars eligible are listed, and it applies to all '08-'09 'Vettes except ZR1. I will need to downsize from three 'Vettes to two as my mother recently passed away and her townhome which I am selling was a storage spot for one. I had planned to wait for a '10, but with this added incentive, and the already large discounts, it might be good timing to do it now. The uncertain production schedule this fall could also make a move now a good one. It all hinges on what I am able to get for my '03 and '05, which I realize are also taking a hit.

That is a good deal on top of the deals you can get now. I say if you can get one now, go for it.

This $2000 card is it for added trade-in or outright $2K off your best deal?

I would not even think of trading my 05. You are still paying a ton of money and taxes for a new Vette. They all look the same. Why trade??

I got the mailing today, and mine had that I would get 5,000 off a new vette (except ZR1). I was going to wait to buy a 2010, but this seems like a deal that I should not pass up. Is this deal as good as it seems? I wish I knew the pricing for a 2010 GS.

$5000? What's your earnings that you currently have? All I've seen is $2000 off.

My offer, also received today, took my current earnings of $1567 and added $1433 to make an even $3000 off.

I have 9400 in earnings. I haven't bought a GM vehicle since 2003. Maybe that's why its higher. On my mailing some of the cars such as the CTS are a max of 3000, but luckily the vette is 5k.

The reasons and economics for keeping or trading cars are quite varied. If a person can afford a new one and has a desire for a new one, then choosing that is just a sensible as any other way that they might spend money for a hobby or entertainment.

It is my understanding that the GM earnings can go to $5000 on a corvette if you have that much but you can't use GMS or Supplier pricing with it. In many cases it seems to be a wash.

I was wondering about the employee pricing part. Last time that I used my GM card to buy a car I was able to buy at invoice price minus rebate minus gm card redemption.

So can you use your $9400 AND the $5000?

The max it says I can use on a corvette is 5k. If it was 9400 I would already be trying to locate a black Z51

Ahh.. On our certs. it's topping it off to $2000 so if you have
$100-$1999 you get $2000.00 We didn't need to spend that much on the card LOL

I got the same thing you did. I have over $6,000 in earnings and I now have $5,000 toward a new Corvette, Tahoe, Suburban, etc. and $3,000 toward CTS, Malibu, Impala, etc. I am seriously going to make a move.

You guys are lucky with these cards that allow you to redeem over 1k on a Corvette. I just got a top off offer from 2100 to 3000 but the redemption limits still apply so it does me no good on a new CTS.
