Clear bra, tint reference in Atlanta area?
Hello everyone,
I recently took delivery of a black Z late last week and I've been thinking about tinting and putting on a clear bra.
I've heard that the bra's are hardly noticeable, any horror stories here?
I know GA's legal limit is 32% but I'm wondering if I'll get into trouble with 20%s. I dont know how strict the cops are.
Your input is greatly appreciated

There are one or two guys that can be recommended for the clear bra.
Check with Woosch on the Peachstate Posse.
There are a couple of tint guys that they can recommend too.

i've had illegal tint for years in georgia.... i've only been pulled over once.. and got off with a verbal warning.... but YMMV....
but then again, i try to be careful in areas where there are likely to be cops (i roll down the windows at least partially)

Bringing this thread back from the graveyard.... My C5Zo6 is now a garage queen.
After several days of intensive paint restoration I've wet sanded everything to perfection. I haven't driven the car in almost a month because the paint is too perfect to get a rock chip (crazy huh?)
Can anyone recommend an Atlanta clear bra installer that knows their stuff? I want to do behind the wheels, front bumper, partial hood, maybe mirrors and under the door handles.
Thanks in advance.
p.s.- I have big plans for this 'Vette, more than my past work. (sig)

I started this thread when the car was nearly brand new - and I've YET to get this done
I still have the Clear bra Kit that I bought for the car. The only problem is, I asked at 2 places and they wanted 400 bucks just to install the film!

It was VERY expensive but worth every penny IMHO.
Hood, Fender and Mirror kit $275
Bumper and Lower Bumper kit $375
Headlight and Fog Light kit $75
Wheel Opening kit $0

Thanks for the help!
I found a ace online that sells the pre-cut 3M kits. It includes a free install DVD to help out. I might give it a try. It would cost about $280 for the whole kit. Mighty tempting.

Buying a pre-cut kit online and trying to install it yourself is a bad idea. There are a lot of pattern design houses, some better than others. The best patterns I've found for a Vette come from www.proformdesign.com.
An inexperienced person could install the hood piece and maybe the fender tip pieces. No way you're going to get the bumper kit on. Most installers shy away from using a pre-cut kit someone has bought online. A top notch installer will know what patterns are best for your car for overall fitment and coverage.
Find a good installer and let him do the work...you'll be much happier in the long run.
