99 frc
How many were built? How many of each color? Is there a way to find out which production number the car is in the total number of 1999 FRC's built? Options like heads up avalable through out the production or in later 99 FRC production cars?

There were a total of 4031 built in 1999 and 2090 in 2000.
Break down as follows:
1999
Arctic White - 311
Nassau Blue - 202
Black - 1227
Torch Red - 1245
Pewter Metallic - 1040
483 cars total had HUD
2000
The same colors that were available for 1999 were the only colors available for this model year as well.
I don't have a breakdown by color for this model year, and I cannot find any stats showing how many FRC's had HUD, either.
The three body styles did not have separate VIN's, the total production is reflected in the numbers. The last 7 numbers are the production sequence.

I found these figures for the 2000 Hdtp:
Torch Red - 543
Black - 489
Arctic White - 315
LT.Pewter - 522
Nassau Blue - 189
HUD - 1265
Odd that the colors totaled 2058, vs production # of 2090.

Another of the '99 Torch Red FRC's here... but mine isn't one of the stock, cherry low mile cars. I am just bumping 164,000 on it. But the ole' gal is still running stronger than ever (heads, cam, intake & exhaust), and I'm keeping it for a long time.
