Did you really need to ask the members of this forum if a 4,200 pound 275 ish HP Crown Vic would run with a 500+ HP 3,100 pund car?

I love all the "can't outrun the radio" crap. Since when has a radio ever given out moving violations? Never.
The patrol car has no chance. But the conditions better be better than perfect to try something like that. Please not around my wife driving the kids to school. .. not to mention the Vette would never stand a chance against her 7,000 vehicle.

I believe your question itself is inappropriate on a number of levels (even if you are talking about a closed course time trial or race).
It suggests to people that you would consider outrunning a police car on public streets, endangering people using the highway.
You should have at least qualified your question, if you did mean a closed course contest. Otherwise, you should really think before you offer such a dangerous proposition for the public's consideration.

Easily. you could loose a cop before the motoral even had a chance to hurt you as long as you were not in enough traffic to prevent you from pushing the car at all.
who cares though you won't like it if they catch you. If you didn't commit a felony why risk a misdemenor to get out of a violation?

Many of us now have 360 hp chargers, not that it makes much of a defference lol. The street is an uncontrolled environment, unlike the track. You have to deal with traffic, traffic control and other unforseen events. We have the sirens, lights, training and good old fashioned familiarity of the streets to help cut through some of that. We also have the radio to help coordinate an arrest. We don't like to persue in traffic though.

Clown dicks are speed limited to around 120 mph. That is ALL you need to know.
The old Chevrolet Caprice police cars (SEO 9C1) were speed limited to 147 with 235 x 70 tires, and 136 with 225 x 70 tires. The Camaro Police cars (RPO B4C) are speed limited to 160.
I don't know what Tahoes and Chrysler Corp cars are limited to, nor do I know what the FWD Impalas are limited to -- but I am sure none of them will get close to what a Z06 will go.
