Default Correct Carb for a 69 L-36 427/390

My 69 L-36 has a Rochester Quadrajet 750 cfm carb. The P.O. put it on the car 16 years ago to replace a spread bore Holley that was on the car when he purchased it used from a Chevy dealer. He did that to maintain the authenticity of an otherwise unmolested car. I was looking through a website yesterday that I got from a thread on 73 production numbers on this site, and it showed the 69 L-36 as coming with a Holley carb. I thought the Holleys were only on the high performance 427s like the L-88. Am I, and the former owner, wrong? Should this car have a Holley on it?

Damn! I was pulling for the Holley!

Thanks for the inputs and the references to the correct carb number. The one on the car is an incorrect model number (I've been told). I went back to that website and they even had the VIN decoder screwed up. They show the sequence number range as "100001 - 128566" for 1969, but, just above that, they say that the serial numbers range from "100001 to 138762". Since my car is 132505, I know which numbers are correct. Then I went to the 1970 data and they had the same sequence number range with only a little over 11,000 cars built according to the serial number range. The web site is www.100megsfree4.com/corvette.
