The Optima with the side terminals is a 34/78.

If you can get me a 34/78 Yellow Top for that same price, I'll take one.
thanks,
john

Why do you want a 34/78? I don't know what that is.

The 75/25 has side terminals and is a direct fit. Take a look at Optima's website http://www.optimabatteries.com/

34/78 is the correct fit for the yellow top model. It is the upgraded model for people with more draw in their system...electronics, amplifiers, etc.

Hi Brian,

Glad to see that yopu became a forum sponsor. How's the single turbo C5 kit coming along ?

BTW, guys I stopped by Brian's Shop in Alabama a few months back, he's a great guy to deal with.

That is the main difference. The 34/78s are available in BOTH a red top AND a yellow top version.

I can verify that the Red Top 75/25 is the correct model for our cars, as I had one in there recently. Nice price!

The 34/78 Red Top is ALSO "correct" for our cars. It just has a higher Cold Cranking Amps, Cranking Amps, Reserve Capacity and Ampere Hour ratings. That's why it costs more.

I agree with you on the 75/25 pricing.

No, the C6 requires a Group 25 (9025-160).

Your battery is in the rear, and according to Interstate, their replacement battery for the HHR measures:

9.63" L
6.88" W
7.00" H

It's a top post battery.

Just look to see if Optima has a top post battery that's very close to those dimensions. Most ALL battery trays/compartments have some "wiggle" room on physical sizing and most can accommodate a slightly larger physical size if necessary. You'll just need to measure how much room your situation allows.
