Nabers Brothers - Houston
I am not sure why these guys get all the applause. I visited them last week and found Mr Nabers to be exteremely arrogant. I have two C2 Corvettes & he refused to talk to me about either one. I understand that my "65 is a little custom and that he is a "PURIST", but my "63 is completely original. I am the 3rd owner and the car is in pretty good shape already. He turned his back on me - "LITERALLY". I found them through a forum so I wanted to post my experience.

I'm just a nobody in this hobby and I walked in their shop one day when I worked close to it. Gary showed me around and answered a lot of questions. He then reluctantly agreed to rivet in some original ball joints for me. Everybody has bad days, maybe you just caught 'em on the wrong day.
I don't know him but a couple of my friends use a guy named Ray in Alvin. He's not cheap but his work is outstanding and he can do it all.

I've known Ken and Gary for many years, and Ken has been my judging partner at Bloomington Gold for the last four years - couldn't ask for a more low-key, nicer guy.

I have known Ken and Gary Nabors for many years: we were members of the NCRS Texas Chapter. They are good guys. Not elitists. They are extremely knowledgeable about Corvettes, and build beautiful cars.
Perhaps you caught them at a bad time? Or simply came off the wrong way. I know everyone has an occasional bad day. Even me.

Jeff, I believe it's Repzinski, don't know exactly how to spell it. (apologies to those of the Polish persuasion for butchering the spelling) He runs Corvettes By Ray. I can find a number if someone needs it. He has done 4 of my friends cars in Clear Lake and they are stunning. The last I heard his shop rate was $125/hr., too much for a simple redneck like me.

Bob Glidden. I can remember the early P/S days when Gapp and Jack Roush partnered on a few cars including a 4 door Maverick. I guess Ol' Jack had his sights set on bigger things, seems like he's made a few bucks since then.
