Any idea what a Sun Infra Red Engine Analyzer Model SS-400 is worth? I'm looking at one with all the manuals and attachments but have no idea what to offer.

Unfortunately, you may not get a lot for it. A couple of years ago I had a chance to buy one much like it for $75.

Looks like a nice setup. Wish I had one for my garage, but I just don't have the space. Assuming good condition, working order, with manuals, I have seen prices around $250 to $500. However, if the seller just wants to get rid of it, maybe you can get it for around $150.

The biggest issue is generally shipping/transportation to your shop. Best to pickup if at all possible.

i bought one of those in the early 70s for big bucks. it was the greatest thing since clean underwear . if you're checking "points, condensor" ignition systems, there is none better. assuming it works, and you know how to read it, that osilliscope (that dark screen in the center) on raster and superimposed will give you more info in 5 minutes than a modern code reader on our computer cars. if you know how to read the squiggly lines on the osilliscope ( i learned in college and went to the sun school) i can at a glance read those lines. here are some of the things you can spot:
1-pitted points.
2-bad condensor.
3-dwell variation, this would indicate bad bushings in the dist, this was if the dwell was in a wave pattern between cylinders.
4-a bad plug wire-even which one, like #5.
5-a bad coil.
6-a carbon track in the dist. cap.
7-dwell angle-and varaition.
8-maximum coil capacity (you don't want to know how many new accell coils i condemned) i will never buy an accell product!!
9-incorrect idle adjustment on the carb, lean=hi spike, rich=low spike, hi lo hi lo=needs carb adjustment.
10-engine condition, low compression cylinders will=low voltage firing at the spark plugs, thus lower voltage spikes on those cylinders.

i could go on with more but the point is hook it up a points/condensor car to the scope and MAKE SURE the scope works (look for those squiggly lines and make sure the scope works at all the switch positions)

IF it does by chance work, you will have to learn what all those squiggly lines are telling you, in this age of computers in cars, it is almost a lost art with obsolete equipment.

I use to teach for Allen Test Products who also made great scopes.
I also used one at my shop back when.
I found that using a scope gave you a window into the engine.
If you found no problem in the ignition system then you knew to look elsewhere.
When you become proficient at pattern interpretation then you can tell if a mixture is lean, bad valve, low compression and a host of other problems.
If I am working on an engine problem and I don't have a scope attached to the engine I feel I am working with one arm behind my back.
If you get the scope I will help you understand the patterns.

I was going to make an offer on this but packing and shipping from CO to FL was $771.00 (most of that was fuel cost related).

I will keep my eye open for something more local as most if not all that I come across are pickup only.

I have one also that I want to sell, along with some other original SUN equipment, but Im in Nebraska and that is not that much closer to Florida than the one in Colorado is. Maybe someone else will chime in that is even closer to the southeast.

Mac tool and other brands sold a smaller table top unit. I have one myself.
The only thing it is lacking is a cylinder kill function. So I purchased a hand held unit and in combination with the scope and a co,pression tester I can do a very acurate diagnosis.
